TAB Calls for Letters of Interest for New Tourism Promotion Office in the UK

Jul 08, 2019 | Press Release

HA NOI, Vietnam (July 8, 2019) – Vietnam’s Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) together with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) is inviting companies with experience in establishing and operating tourism promotion offices to express their interest in a new project for Vietnam Tourism via written letter.

The new tourism promotion office will be based in the United Kingdom, with the aim of driving new sources of traffic to Vietnam and raising awareness for Vietnam’s unique tourism assets.

TAB comprises representatives from a broad base of industry leaders and top stakeholders in Vietnam’s travel and tourism sector. All members of the board work together to support international tourism promotions in Vietnam's target markets.

Overseas tourism promotion offices are a way for Vietnam to invest in and prioritize tourism as a key economic sector. This office will be responsible for promoting Vietnam’s brand globally and increasing the number of visitors from the UK to Vietnam. Through a network of tourism stakeholders, the office will support industry players in encouraging their clients to visit Vietnam. The office will be expected to work closely with VNAT on marketing activities and to collaborate with the Vietnamese Embassy to organise localised activities and events.

TAB invites qualified companies to submit an expression of interest letter, demonstrating past experience in public relations and marketing, travel trade representation, and the ability to support activities at key tourism fairs and events.
