30 Apr 2022 - 30 Apr 2022April 30 is a national public holiday, marking the official end of the Vietnam War and the 1975 reunification of South and North.
Many Vietnamese combine the holiday with Labor Day (May 1) and return to their hometowns. Buildings nationwide raise the national flag, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City hold parades, and many homes hold ceremonies to honor those who sacrificed for the country.
