Cham Cultural Festival 2024
27 Sep 2024 - 29 Sep 2024The 6th Cham Cultural Festival 2024 is scheduled to take place in Phan Rang - Thap Cham City, Ninh Thuan Province. Themed “Preserving and promoting Cham ethnic minority people’s cultural identity in the context of national integration and development", the festival will see the participation of nine provinces and cities nationwide, including Ninh Thuan, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Binh Thuan, An Giang, Tay Ninh, Quang Nam, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. The event will feature a wide range of exciting activities, including traditional cultural rituals of the Cham ethnic minority group; introduction of traditional crafts of brocade weaving and pottery making; performance of Cham ethnic costumes; exhibition on cultural characteristics of the Cham people in the cultural community of Vietnamese ethnic groups; and an exhibition of fine art paintings about Cham culture.
In addition, there will be sports and tourism activities such as football, tug-of-war, stick-pushing, workshop on "Promoting Cham cultural heritage value in tourism development"
