Wild sunflowers starting to blossom signals the end of fall and the beginning of winter in the Central Highlands city of Da Lat, and that is when gardens of yellow ripe persimmons cover the city. The gardens of persimmons here are planted naturally without the green houses. However, in the harvest season, just stepping foot into the garden, you will still feel the smell of ripe persimmons. The persimmon season usually falls in late October and November. The garden cultivates persimmons until they ripen and turn yellow, before using the fruits for producing wind-dried persimmons. Crunchy persimmon is preferred by many visitors to buy as a gift for family and friends because the fruit is sweet and has a pleasant aroma.
