Kate Festival

This festival is the highlight of the year for ethnic Cham people, also known as Mbang Kate. Over 3 days, the Cham people honour their dead and heroes from their history. Commemorative rites, offerings to the gods and animated sacred dancing take place in three temples in Ninh Thuan province. After the religious rites, the Cham people hold a party to celebrate their culture and heroes of long ago.
