29 Jan 2021 - 29 Jan 2021 | Ho Chi Minh CityThe Old Compass Cafe on Pasteur Street will be hosting Sounds of Vietnam, a series of performances introducing the traditional music of Vietnam one instrument at a time. Everything from the melodies to the performance style will showcase music’s rich role in Vietnam’s heritage. For the first performance, the Old Compass Cafe is featuring đàn tranh, a plucked zither that has been used in traditional Vietnamese music since the 13th century. Experienced musician Nguyễn Hồng Mỹ Linh will guide participants on an auditory journey, along with Mai Thanh Son and Vu Ngoc Long. The first session will be at 7pm on Friday, January 29. Tickets are available at the Old Compass Cafe.
