Spanning eight days and seven nights, the journey took me from the historic streets of Hanoi to the vibrant energy of Ho Chi Minh City, with stops in some of the country’s most iconic destinations like Ninh Binh, Quang Binh, Hue, Hoi An, Phu Yen, and Phan Thiet.
Inspired by the romantic Indochine style of the 1920s, the train itself was a masterpiece. From the moment I stepped aboard, I was immersed in a world where Vietnamese elegance met French sophistication. The interior design featured wooden panels, vintage lighting, and cultural motifs that told stories of Vietnam’s rich heritage.
My cabin was a sanctuary of comfort. A beautifully designed space with high-end amenities, blending timeless craftsmanship with modern luxury. I especially appreciated the large windows, which allowed me to admire Vietnam’s breathtaking landscapes right from the comfort of my bed.
Every day brought new adventures and new flavours. Onboard dining was a highlight of the trip. Expert chefs crafted a menu that changed with each region we visited, featuring fresh local ingredients and a fusion of Vietnamese and international cuisine. One evening, I enjoyed a delicious five-course meal while the train glided through misty mountain ranges.
Evenings were filled with exclusive cultural performances - traditional music, dance, and storytelling that made each night unique. These shows weren’t just entertainment; they were windows into the soul of Vietnam, enhancing the sense of connection I felt throughout the journey.
SJourney redefined travel for me. It wasn’t just about getting from one place to another; it was about immersing myself in culture, history, and luxury all at once. I’ll never forget the feeling of sipping tea in the panoramic glass lounge while the sun set over endless rice fields. It was more than a trip; it was a beautifully curated experience I’ll cherish forever.
